ATTENTION!!! Important Note: All the translations below are my own (by Arria Cross). All are labelled “rough translation”, as they did not undergo any professional proofreading and/or editing and may lack literal and/or grammatical accuracy.  I did my best, however, to convey the atmosphere and context of the conversations in this radio show.

This is the 15th episode of Kamiya Hiroshi (神谷浩史) and Ono Daisuke’s (小野大輔) radio show Dear Girl ~Stories~.  This episode is super funny.  My first favourite part is when they read a letter from a listener.  Here is a rough translation:

Listener (Apricot-san): Kamiya-san, Ono-san, good evening. I look forward to listening to you at this time every week.
Ono: Thank you.
Listener (Apricot-san): Ono-san‘s first mini-album just launched, didn’t it? I, too, just bought it. I am enlivened by listening to good music everyday. This may seem early but I want Ono-san‘s next song to come out.
Ono: (chuckles) That certainly is early.
Listener (Apricot-san): How about the two of you collaborate together on a work again?
Ono: Oooh. . .oh. That’s sounds good, isn’t it?
Kamiya: What’s good?
Ono: No, I mean. She was talking about all of these but it’s rather early, isn’t it?
Kamiya: No, no, no. What are you talking about?
Ono: What?
Kamiya: You must think about releasing works one after another.
Ono: Eh? Eeeh? Isn’t that taking it a bit fast?
Kamiya: No, I mean. Ono-kun must be busy all the time.
Ono: You mean that I’ll be at my peak? (context: “Peak” is when a seiyuu is the most popular. After the peak, their career goes downhill quickly)
Both: (laugh hard)
Kamiya: I didn’t mean it like that. What I meant was for Ono-kun to have more successful works and mini-albums and events. I didn’t mean that you’ve reached your peak and afterwards. . .
Ono: That I’ll just fall down.
Kamiya: Naaah!
Ono: What conversation is this! Talking about falling down too much!
Kamiya: (laughs)
Ono: I’ll just work hard and work hard. So that I’ll be able to climb up higher and higher continuously.
Kamiya: That’s right.

Hmmm.  So they worry about things like “peak”, too, huh?  But I don’t think that you’ve reached your peak yet, OnoD.  Ganbatte nee.
(。´∀`)ノ
My next favourite part is another letter sent by a listener.  Here is a rough translation:
(spaces between lines mean dialogue that I skipped translating)

Listener (Shiawari-san): Kamiya-san, Ono-san, good evening.
Ono: Good evening.
Listener (Shiawari-san): Ono-san called Kamiya-san a tsundere before, but for males it’s actually oranyan. Consequently, oranyan comes from ora ora (spoken when you’re bullying someone) and nyan nyan (cat’s sound; equivalent to meow). So I want Ono-san to use oranyan.
Ono: Oooooh. So that’s how it is.
Kamiya: Ora? Ora ora ora ora ora ora ora~
Ono: Ora ora ora ora ora ora~ Oraaa~
Kamiya: How about nyan? Nyan!
Ono: Nyan?!

Kamiya: Ora ora is something you say to feel stronger.
Ono: How about nyan?
Kamiya: You say nyan like a cat. Like this. Nyan~ ლ(=ↀωↀ=)ლ
Ono: That’s creepy.
Kamiya: Creepy.
Ono: (chuckles)
Kamiya: But she (Shiawari-san) said that she’d like you to try oranyan.
Ono: I don’t want to.
Kamiya: Not “I don’t want to,” but “No way, don’t screw with me!”
Ono: Don’t screw with me! Ora ora.
Kamiya: (chuckles) That’s so creepy!
Ono: Ora ora ora ora ora ora, ORA!

Ono: How about you try oranyan too, Kamiya-san?
Kamiya: I don’t want to do oranyan nor tsundere but. . .
Ono: Hm?
Kamiya: (in a cool voice) Would you stop associating me with those kind of stereotypes?
Ono: That is just so COOL!
Both: (laughs)
Ono: You’re truly handsome. . .and an idol.
Kamiya: Aren’t you the handsome one?

Kawaii! Nyan~ (●ↀωↀ●)✧
And so hilarious. (´艸`)  These 2 are truly the best.  Next, they play OnoD’s song Nostalgia.  I think it’s alright.  Not bad.  Then they do the Sylph Soudanshitsu Corner.  Last is the the Dear Letter Corner where they read a letter sent from a listener.  It’s very touching.  Here is a rough translation:

Listener (Anemone-san‘s Dear Letter):
Dear Me of March 2008, are you alright? To be honest, I feel exhausted. The reason is, of course, anxiety. No matter how I ask my parents, they won’t let me go to Tokyo. But  as I think about it, of course, it’ll be lonely to be away from my beloved dad and mom, and to be in a place where I don’t have any friends, anyone will feel uneasy. But even so, I still want to go to Tokyo since I feel that it’s there where my future lies. When I announced that I wanted to be a cameraman, eveyone was shocked. On March next year, I wonder if I’ll be able to say “bye bye” to my parents and my friends with a smile on my face. Since you’re the future me, you would know, right? As of right now, I’ll do my best to persuade everyone . I want the future me to have a brighter life than I have right now. Without a doubt, I’ll do my best.

Both hosts relate with Anemone-san‘s troubles, especially OnoD, who shared that when he decided to be a seiyuu, he got a reception very similar to Anemone-san from his family.  Aaaw.  Both hosts encourage her to do her best.

This episode is one of my favourites so far.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.  Listen to a recorded copy of this episode above, which was kindly uploaded by dgs2703.  どうもありがとう。

See you again soon, nee? ヾ(^∇^)
