ATTENTION!!! Important Note: All the translations below are my own (by Arria Cross). All are labelled “rough translation”, as they did not undergo any professional proofreading and/or editing and may lack literal and/or grammatical accuracy. I did my best, however, to convey the atmosphere and context of the conversations in this radio show.

This is the 22nd episode of Kamiya Hiroshi (神谷浩史) and Ono Daisuke’s (小野大輔) radio show Dear Girl ~Stories~. The episode begins with some ramblings, excuse me, I mean conversation between the hosts. Then when OnoD finally reads this episode’s title, Kamiya-san remarks, “Ah. I bought those,” referring to the chocolate croissants.
Afterwards, they do the FutsuuSto Corner (Futsuu Story/Ordinary Story). Kamiya-san wonders why they call this corner Futsuu Sto. Then he comments that it sounds like Futsuu Street Fighter, referring to the popular game series Street Fighter. Finally, they read a letter from a listener.
Yagita-san (Listener): HiroC-san, OnoD, good evening.
Kamiya: Good evening.
Yagita-san (Listener): HiroC-san, congratulations on getting on Gundam.
Kamiya: Thank you very much!!!
Yagita-san (Listener): Since I love Gundam and HiroC-san, I’m so happy that I feel like I could fly. So how was it? It must be very special for a man to be in it. Please tell us about it. Well then, please take care of your body and do your best.
Ono: So how does it feel like to get on Gundam?
Kamiya: I’m so happy, you know.
Ono: As I thought.
Kamiya: Very happy.
Ono: Very happy? It must be a special feeling, right?
Kamiya: Guys care a lot about this. When you become a seiyuu, there’s a lot of people who want to get on Gundam.
Ono: Even females?
Kamiya: Yes, even females.
Ono: Oh, I see, I see.
Kamiya: There are many who want to get on Gundam because of course, we all want to ride robots. Don’t you think so?
Ono: Yes. So that we could ride on those super robots. It looks like it’s fun.
They talk more about Gundam. Sorry, guys. I zoned out a bit. I’m not really a fan of Gundam, so I don’t feel like translating every single thing they say about this Gundam conversation.
Then Kamiya-san talks about how he thought he’d be very happy when he gets accepted on Gundam, but he says that when he received the acceptance, the moment of happiness only lasted for a short time before the immense pressure settled in.
Ono: You’re a pro.
Ono: You’re such a pro seiyuu.
Kamiya: Ono-san. . .
Ono: I don’t think I’ll be like that. If it was me, I’ll be like, “I’m so happy. Yes, I did it! This is so awesome”.
I really tried hard to stay interested about their Gundam conversation. I really did. But I just can’t stay interested enough to translate the entire conversation. Sorry, guys. Next up, they read another letter from a listener.
Asuka-san (Listener): Ono-san, Kamiya-san, good evening. I went to a maid cafe for the first time. Since it was my first time, I was nervous but the maids there were very kind and called me onee-sama. I had a great time. Do you two have any interest in maid cafes?
Ono: I have an interest in dragons (continuing his mutterings from before when Kamiya-san was reading Asuka-san‘s letter).
Kamiya: Ah, dragon?
Ono: Like in sci-fi where I ride a dragon and then go to outer-space in a shuttle. . .a story where the safety of my family is at stake. . .
Kamiya: What the heck are you talking about?
This dragon talk is apparently about Ono-san‘s work. Now, let’s get on with the rest of the conversation.
Kamiya: Now let’s answer Asuka-san‘s letter. Do have an interest in maid cafes? Do you?
Ono: Rather than maids. . .
Ono: I prefer nurses.
Kamiya: (pause) You’re a such a maniac, aren’t you?
Ono: Especially if they’re in pink.
Kamiya: Ah. . .
Ono: With the exception of white, air blue is good, too, right? But pink is still the best.
Kamiya: Ah. . .
Ono: How about you, Kamiya-san?
Kamiya: I don’t have any particular interest in stuff like that.
My gosh, OnoD. I don’t know whether to laugh or cringe about your
perversions, I mean, unusual tastes. Then Kamiya-san shares a story about how he and his senpai Onosaka Masaya-san (小野坂 昌也) and another person went to an Akihabara maid cafe just for the heck of it. Kamiya-san says that it was interesting, but he doesn’t quite understand why all of these women in maid costumes would be serving men and calling them goshujin-sama (master).
Kamiya: We drank coffee.
Ono: The coffee are the worst in those places. You should’ve ordered Mixed Miracle Juice.
Kamiya: Oh, you went there?
Ono: No, I saw it on TV.
OnoD is so funny because he just sounds so excited talking about maids and nurses in pink. On the other hand, Kamiya-san keeps on repeating how he doesn’t understand the whole point of maid cafes. Afterwards, they announce that they will have a downloadable chakushin voice (ringtone) of fellow seiyuu Fukuyama Jun-san (福山 潤). They also play a song, which I don’t like very much.
Finally, they do the Sylph Soudanshitsu Corner. The two hosts failed to synchronize while announcing the corner’s title. Perhaps to compensate, OnoD immediately reads the corner’s description.
Kamiya: Ono-kun. What are you doing? That was the worst.
(OnoD is still reading the description)
Kamiya: You’re being careless too much.
Then they read Shouoto Aya-sensei’s Nayami Story (Story of Troubles) where she shares with them the things that she wants to include in her manga S.L.H. that are not normally accepted in manga, such as emoticons.
Kamiya: These are not troubles!!! Not troubles at all!!!
Ono: Well. . .this is the third time already.
Kamiya: This is absurdly no good.
Ono: Eeeh. . .Everything that she sent us were all wishes.
Kamiya-san orders OnoD to do an impromptu song about encouraging people to buy the latest Sylph Comics. When he’s done, everyone including the staff can be heard clapping their hands. Afterwards, they act out the lines from the Sylph Comics. It’s so funny. I won’t bother translating them. Just listen. It’s hilarious.
Overall, this is a fun episode. I didn’t translate as much because I zoned out. I wasn’t very interested in the topics that they were talking about. My apologies. However, I hope you still enjoyed this episode. Listen to a recorded copy of this episode above, which was kindly uploaded by dgs2703. どうもありがとう。
See you again soon, nee? ヾ(＾∇＾)
