Nee: Bittersweet Love in Hiiro no Kakera

hiiro no kakeraNee (ねぇ) by Fujita Maiko (藤田麻衣子) is the opening theme song of the first-season anime adaptation of Hiiro no Kakera (緋色の欠片).  Just before the first episode premiered, some of the seiyuu of the show revealed that Nee was deliberately created for the anime.

I didn’t like the anime very much (except for the hot guys who I enjoyed eyeing), but I love this song.  I think it’s very beautiful and sad at the same time.  The entire song, including the melody and the lyrics, perfectly demonstrate the bittersweet joy and pain of falling in love.

I also think that Fujita-san’s voice is perfect for the song.  She has a very mellow, sweet, and even vulnerable voice that effectively mirrors what the song is about.  I love it!  The first time I heard it, it immediately stuck in my head.  I can listen to this song all day, and I do so often.

Rating: 😀 😀 😀 😀 (4 out of 5 grins)

Below is the actual full-length music video of Fujita Maiko-san.  I don’t like it very much, but I applaud its simplicity.

Hehehe

Makiki-comment lang sa official music video:

Bagay sa boses nung singer yung song. I feel how sad it is on how she sang the song without reading the English translation.
The music video is very simple. Well, I’m not expert ah. Nakiki-echoserang frog lang ako. Hahahaha

    My suggestions would be:

Like reminiscing the old and happy but painful memories lalo na rin sa part na parang umiinom sya ng coffee or tea.

Then, habang kumakanta yung singer at the same time pinagmamasdan nya yung girl.

Basta yun. Hahahaha Mahirap i-explain. May masabi lang. 😀

    1. High-five! My thoughts exactly. But I think na tamang-tama lang ‘yong voice nong singer. Hindi siya pilit. Kasi I don’t think na kailangan ng birit in this kind of song.

I think that it’s too simple. Hahaha! She should’ve emoted more, ‘di ba? 😉

Pero taking the music video aside, I really love the song. I listen to it, like, almost all the time. Especially when I’m in emote mode. Hahaha! It’s one of the most-played songs on my playlist. Oh well.

Salamat for dropping by.

Oh well.

Ako rin eh. There’s this music blogger na laging nag-rerecommend sa akin ng mga foreign songs. ‘Yong iba, gusto ko. ‘Yong iba naman, hindi ko gusto. Depende rin sa personal tastes mo.

  2. I will take your advice. I’m glad that you have a board where you will consider hyper-thermia. It is an important men’s health issue, especially for those who have to work outside, or for older men … and … oh … ah … Oh God, NO …
