Day 14:  Anime That Never Gets Old No Matter How Many Times You’ve Re-watched It

I don’t even have think about this one.  Without a doubt, ONE PIECE (ワンピース) by Oda Eiichiro (尾田 栄一郎), is my number 1 favourite anime series.  So no matter how many times I re-watch it, it never gets old.

Of course, there are other anime series that never gets old no matter how many times I re-watch it, but ONE PIECE is still the number 1 for me.  I’m just so in love with this series.  If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you may have noticed that I regularly blog about OP.  In fact, the majority of my posts are about OP.  I think that people are getting tired of me spouting about ONE PIECE here and ONE PIECE there all the time, but I don’t really give a damn because I just love it!

I’m fortunate to encounter so many OP fans, lovers, and maniacs on the web.  Now I feel a sense of belonging, a mutual understanding of the greatness of this series.  There are a lot of people out there who think that OP is shallow, but I don’t get offended anymore because I now have a ONE PIECE community to turn to.

I can’t wait to learn how the series will end, but at the same time, I don’t want it to end either.  I appreciate that Oda-sensei is such a hard-working mangaka.  I hope that he’ll take care of his health, so that he can keep on drawing this amazing series and conclude it with an explosive climax.

  1. Yes, One Piece is the absolute best!!!! So much fun, so much imagination and world-building. And actually some depthness about politics and fighting the status quo which seems to go over most people’s heads.

I focus on the comics, though I always watch the movies and extras. In the latest translated (legal) volume it’s still the tournament on Dressrosa and I know there’s a lot more to come. With Naruto ending, I hope One Piece never ends! Although, I do hope Luffy eventually becomes the king of the pirates 😉

    1. High-five, brother! My thoughts exactly. I think that the themes are becoming deeper and deeper as the story advances, which is amazing.

Yes, the manga is great. I usually like the movies, but not so much. I think Luffy will reach his dream in the end. And did you hear the rumour that a boy with cancer knows the ending of ONE PIECE? His wish was to meet with Oda-sensei and learn the ending of OP. Sensei visited him and told him, but made him swear not to reveal it to anyone. I can’t stop wondering about it. So exciting!
