Can You Hear My Love Against The Sound of the Pouring Rain?

Rating: 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 (perfect 5 grins)
I featured this lovely song Amaoto (雨音 / Sound of Rainfall) by seiyuu Ono Daisuke (小野大輔) before but it’s within one of my episode translations (ET) of his popular radio show Dear Girl ~Stories~ with Kamiya Hiroshi (神谷浩史).

Amaoto is one of Ono Daisuke’s best songs that I’ve ever heard.  It’s such an impressively beautiful song in both melody and lyrics.  Whenever I hear the piano intro, my heart just goes doki-doki, then I listen to the lyrics and I just can’t help but sigh and feel all romantic inside.

I prefer it when Ono Daisuke sings simple yet beautiful ballads like this, rather than those flamboyant cosplay-ish dance songs with lyrics that just fall flat.  I think that these slow, romantic songs suit him better.

Amaoto has recently been stuck in my head again, and I just can’t help but view it as a coincidence for the coming Valentine’s Day this week.  Indeed, this song will be a theme song for my special Valentine’s Day DGS ET this Saturday.  O-tanoshime ne, my dear fellow DGS fans.  Watch & listen Amaoto below.

Isn’t it a beautiful song?  Just perfect for Valentine’s Day.  Makes your heart kyun-kyun, doesn’t it?
