Difficult question. But since it’s my favourite anime of all time, I’m just going to say ONE PIECE.

Oh, boy. You reminded me of my ultra long to-read list. And this manga has been on it since…a LOOOOOOOONG time. The anime adaptation is also on my even longer to-watch list. Anyway, thanks for the reminder. Cheers!

Ooooooh. I certainly agree with “Black Butler”. It’s very absorbing and the art is beautiful. I have not read the other you mentioned.

I think you should read that. It’s really funny. my first impression it would be a little serious cz it’s a remake of momotarou, but it being so funny in the end. have you ever think that the reincarnation of the demon being an otaku? 😀

I’ve only read a few manga but “Death Note” hands down… 🙂

I agree! It’s one of the best. It’s also in my top favourites. What did you like the most about it?

Everything really – strong characters, great writing, clever twists, unusual concept, superb art and engaging story telling. Frankly it is a breath of fresh air amongst the mire of usual formulaic stuff out there! 🙂

Exactly. By the way, have you read “Bakuman” yet? It’s by the same mangaka duo who created “Death Note”. It’s also one of my favourites.

No but I’ve seen all three seasons of the anime and enjoyed it very much. Shame the UK DVD releases have been botched by Kaze with the first season, as this could have been a huge hit.

Isn’t it great? I don’t really know about that since I don’t live in the UK. But at least you watched it. 🙂

No.6, Railgun, Evangelion, but most of all Pandora Hearts so far!

Ooooooh. Nice. I only watched the anime for “Pandora Hearts”, and I liked it but I haven’t really read the manga. And Evangelion, another great series. Which would you say is your favourite among these?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Considering that I’ve only read bits and pieces from each one, I’d say that Railgun was the easiest to follow and has the most enjoyable story for me.

At first, mainly for the action and horror. Later on I got attached to the characters. The hero damaged almost beyond repair still harboring some hope. The villain with an allure which has him seeming almost a hero himself even as he walks on the graves of those he betrayed. Good times.

This is so difficult – definitely One Piece, but also Tokyo Ghoul and Liar Game 🙂

ONE PIECE!!! High-five!
I haven’t read “Tokyo Ghoul” and I read “Liar Game” when it first published but then I dropped the series off. Which do you like better among the 3?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Tokyo Ghoul is really good – has an intense storyline and really great characters. Hmm I’d probably lean more towards One Piece, the characters are really sweet and fun, I’ve been following the series for a couple of years so reading it also has a real sentimental value 😛

Thanks! I’ll add it to my to-read list and see if I like it.
I know, right? As a huge OP fan, I love the series. It’s not perfect, but it’s just awesome. Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinions with me. Cheers!

Mine would be Black butler because the manga was kick butt and the anim even better plus Sebastian and Grell how can you not love them, Fruits basket takes me back to the good ole days, Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Ouran high host club, One piece definitely gotta love One piece, and Mars.

High five! I know, right? Black Butler manga is just so awesome, but I think I like it better than the anime. But of course, once I watched the anime, I can’t read the manga without hearing the seiyuu of the anime saying the lines. 😉
Fruits Basket also makes me so nostalgic. And I’m a huge ONE PIECE fan, so that’s a give. 😀
So what do you say is your #1 favourite among these?

Yeah me too every time I read it I hear his voice 😉 Can I just say all of the above? 😀 I’m really bad at making tough decisions.

I am a huge CLAMP fangirl: Magic Knight Rayearth, Tsubasa, Clover, Kobato. Cardcaptor Sakura is probably my favorite, though I did watch the anime first.

Ooooh. CLAMP. Cool! Although I don’t consider myself as a fan per se, I do like their works. Their works make me so nostalgic since I’ve watch the anime adaptations of their manga when I was a kid. Do you reread these manga when you have the time?

Yes, I do re-read them. Dark Horse has recently been re-printing them in “omnibus” editions here, which are pretty good.

That’s great. I think it’s very comforting to just sit down and read old favourites.

Oh this is hard! I’ve read a lot of manga over the years, but I always come back to Ouran High School Host Club, Kare Kano, and Magic Knight Rayearth. I have read these 3 so many times, it would be hard to pick one favorite!

That’s fine. I know that it can be quite difficult to pick a #1 favourite among the great manga out there. I watched the anime “Magic Knight Rayearth” as a little girl but haven’t really read the manga. Have you watched the anime?

A manga-habit? It is bad enough I have to stand in line at the gas station buying my daily cigarettes, 12-pack of morning beer, Hustler magazine, and scratch-off lottery tickets.
Good thing they don’t sell manga, I have too many addictions as it is …

That’s fine, Jamie. You mentioned that you haven’t been a fan of anime that long, right? It’s understandable that you haven’t read enough manga to have one you can all favourite. Perhaps you can try to read the manga of the anime you like?

If only there’s another me who can read the other manga when I’m sleeping, that would be awesome. -___-

I think that would be a amazing ability. If this was Naruto, you might be able to do it. Just make a clone, go to sleep, and after the clone gets done reading and vanishes, the memories goes to you. In essence, you do read while sleeping xD
