OnoD’s “Amaoto” is Stuck in My Head

Day 29:  A Song Currently Stuck in Your Head

A song that’s currently stuck in my head is Amaoto (雨音 / Sound of Rainfall) by seiyuu Ono Daisuke (小野大輔).  This song has been featured numerous times in many of my episode translations of the Japanese radio show Dear Girl ~Stories~ hosted by him and fellow seiyuu Kamiya Hiroshi (神谷浩史).  I also wrote a previous post titled “Can You Hear My Love Against The Pouring Rain?”.

This song is a bit old, but it’s my favourite song of OnoD’s.  It’s so beautiful and meaningful compared to his other songs, in my opinion.  I wish that he sings more songs like this.  It’s so romantic that I can’t help but smile whenever I listen to it.

Now you know that Amaoto by Ono Daisuke is a song currently stuck in my head.  What’s yours?

  1. I love this song, too 🙂 – and I agree with you, but I think – since OnoD is also human ^^” – he has his own ways, feelings, impressions and those effect his music, too (positive for example: “Startrain” from his new album; and (little bit) negative for example: “Delight”). But I always loved him and I love him now, too, he-he ^^

Otherwise, have you already heard “Orion no yoru”? That song is also beautiful and similar to “Amaoto” 🙂 And he wrote the lyrics (!), therefore it’s extremely precious for me 🙂

Here a youtube link to “Amaoto” live version (connecting with Orepara). It’s simple and fantastic – I was totally shocked (in positive sense) when I saw OnoD’s face. I thought: “Whoa! O.o Impressive!” Furthermore, (around at 4:10) you can see he cried a little bit – ah, I’m curious about what he was thinking of while he was singing this song 😉 🙂

And here a link to “Orion no yoru” (an english translation with pictures ^^)
