This blog carnival is now CLOSED.
It’s been a while, my dear otaku bloggers. This has been delayed several times but finally it’s here. Yay yay! Let’s start off this week with a blast, as I officially declare the 4th Fujinsei Blog Carnival OPEN! Show off those awesome posts that you’re so proud of and connect with fellow bloggers. Please don’t forget to read the following rules to avoid your submission from getting deleted. Thank you.
Duration: August 8 to August 14
Rules of Participation:
- This carnival is OPEN ONLY to people who blog about anime, manga, or anything related to Japanese culture and media, and of course the otaku world.
- Share the link to a specific blog post at the comment section below, NOT just your blog address. Include title of blog post and a short explanation of what your post is about. It doesn’t have to be a recent post, but it has to be a post that you’re proud to show off.
- Only 1 link per blogger.
- Please visit at least one participant’s link; don’t just leave yours and move on. This carnival is intended to foster a give-and-take relationship.
- If you wish to comment on a post, please visit the participant’s blog and comment there, not here.
- Shared blog posts must be decent. No overly offensive materials.
- Participants who violate any or all of the above rules will be deleted from this carnival.
This blog carnival will close on August 14 (Sunday). If you miss this carnival or have another blog post you want to share, feel free to participate on the next carnival which I will host again next month.
After this blog carnival ends, I will compile my favourite submissions into a “Best Posts Round-Up”. Check out last month’s→“Best Posts Round-Up of the 3rd Fujinsei Blog Carnival”
Please note that I’m not making you feel obligated to subscribe to any of the participants’ blogs, although I’m sure that they’ll greatly appreciate it if you do. Feel free to subscribe only to those you liked. My main purpose for hosting this carnival is for us otaku bloggers to have the chance to connect with each other.
De wa, go forth and explore each other’s blogs to your hearts’ content. All otaku bloggers unite!

Nice to see everyone here again! I’m a veteran to the Blog Carnivals and I’ve got a piece that is probably one of the best that I have ever written!
https://otakucollision.wordpress.com/2016/08/06/the-rebellion-of-non-believers/
I take a deep look at Madoka Magica The Movie: Rebellion by creating parallels between Homura Akemi and non-believers, both of whom are in rebellion to the truth that aims to set them free. Most importantly, I explain some of the fundamentals of human nature and how Jesus Christ fits into the picture! This article is supposed to be offensive so don’t be alarmed if your beliefs and morals are challenged!

A little late, but how cool is this? Never been part of a blog carnival before, but I’ll give it my best shot.
https://teatimewithsenpai.wordpress.com/2016/08/11/anohana-and-a-belief-in-something-that-cant-be-seen/
The link above is to an article I recently wrote called “Anohana and the Belief in Something That Can’t Be Seen”. I compare the experiences of Jinta and Menma and their doubtful friends as well as how we can use their examples when backing up our own beliefs in the other-worldly. Hope you enjoy! I had fun writing it. Now on to read some of you guys’ wonderful posts ^.^

I’m late as well, but that’s alright!
My post is about how the relationships in Kiznaiver are very similar to the way the body of Christ, the Christian church should function. It may be a story, but these relationships should be real! ^.^

Heavy Spoilers for the Madoka Magica Rebellion film. I wrote this editorial to express why I actually liked the controversial ending to the film. It was certainly very different and unexpected, but I thought that the film pulled it off rather well.

I know this post isn’t for everyone, but I might as well include it here for the record.
https://nichinichichan.wordpress.com/2016/08/10/welcome-to-the-nhk-coming-full-circle/
It isn’t exactly a review or anything; more like an introspection on the part of the viewer (which is me). If you watched Welcome to the NHK! and found yourself relating to it, then reading this might be worth your time.

I just wrote this the other day so I’ll go ahead and use it as my submission. I talk about one of my favorite shows: Katanagatari and breakdown what made its visual style and characters so distinct and memorable. Hope you enjoy it!

Here’s my post: http://unsheathedblog.com/impersonally-personal/
I talked about Sword Art Online, online relationships, and the pros and cons of the Internet in forming personal ties with other people. ^_^

I remember this post. I love it and I love Sword Art Online. We enjoy technology to talk to people and form friendships but it can be dangerous. It’s like my dad says, be careful on what you put out there and don’t get too close.

Condescending Reactions: Boku no Hero Academia Episode 1 | The Fine Line Between Sympathy and Pity
Don’t worry, the post isn’t as negative as it sounds (though I did say a few negative words about the show…and Naruto).
Here, using the first episode of Boku no Hero as a framing device, I explore how anime portrays societal injustice, discrimination and how it tries to commentate on it. Also, I try to offer my own take on how a visual media like animation can tell stories that can provoke the audience to think harder about these things: discrimination is a topic that I’m sure many here will relate to, be it sex, race or religion.
Enjoy the read.

Since I am working on the 30 Day Anime Challenge at the moment I thought I would share one of my older reviews this time around, Delusion is Reality, Reality is Delusion Chaos Head. An anime that I notice get’s a lot of negativity let’s say and I explain in my review why it is a series that I loved!

Nurse Love Addiction Review
I attempt to give my earnest opinion about Nurse Love Addiction, a yuri visual novel. Personally, I think the review demonstrates some progress in my constructive criticism skills; however, my tone within this particular review is, unfortunately, overly casual. I hope I can continue to improve my skills as a reviewer / critic / blogger in order to provide readers with quality content.

You Mean You Haven’t Watched Berserk?
This month I’d like to share the inaugural post of my new occasional series in which I help out anime fans new and old by recommending some good older stuff they might have missed. I decided to start on something relevant to the current anime season and explore the appealing aspects of the original 90s Berserk anime. It was a lot of fun working from memory to try and pitch this show, and there are plenty more series I intend to cover in the future.

Yes! I’ve been waiting so long for your carnival to come back. This post was written in response to the Orlando shooting in which 50 people were murdered and 53 were left in critical condition. In honor of those affected by the incident and LGBT month, I created a list to cheer people up and promote LGBT awareness. Hope you like it!

It’s an analysis (and reactions) to an episode of Magi: Labyrinth of Magic. It’s episode 17. I’ve done three of these so far. If an episode hits me as SUPER important, I’ll do an analysis of it. I also have one for Your Lie in April and Kiznaiver.
Thanks for having this carnival, Arria!

I figured that I’d jump on in this. My submission is basically me stating the reasons why Black Lagoon’s Japanese dub is illogical as far as the anime goes which is a bit different from my usual post of anime news, rap, etc.

Hyper Japan 2016
Some logistical issues prevented me from attending my normal yearly convention, MCM Expo, and so I decided to give another one a shot. Here, we talk about London’s Hyper Japan, a bi-yearly celebration of Japanese Culture, Gaming, and Anime. Prepare for a voyage through stalls, an crossplay adventure as Rouge The Bat celebrates her 15th anniversary, my own mishaps, and a plethora of purchases.

Hyouge Mono is an anime not many have heard of. I take the time to review it during my Summer of Anime block. As it turns out, it’s a series I feel is well worth watching, both for its central theme and how the world revolves around it.

The Garden of Words – So Many Emotions in This Garden.
The Garden of Words really made me feel so many emotions. The most stunning and the best animation film in the world in my opinion. The music while watching this movie. And many thoughts in this film. Let see you will feel the same like me or not.
ps. I’m waiting for this carnival! Since there’s news from Shinkai Makoto about new movie, so I wrote his “another masterpiece” in unique point of view.
