This blog carnival is now CLOSED.
Happy October, my dear fellow otaku bloggers! It’s the first full month of autumn here in Canada and most places in the U.S. Fall’s my favourite season, by the way. I’m so excited. Anyway, without further ado, I hereby declare the 6th Fujinsei Blog Carnival OPEN! Share your best posts and have fun connecting with our fellow bloggers. Please don’t forget to read the following rules to avoid your submission from getting deleted. Thank you.
Duration: October 3 to October 9
Rules of Participation:
- This carnival is OPEN ONLY to people who blog about anime, manga, or anything related to Japanese culture and media, and of course the otaku world.
- Share the link to a specific blog post at the comment section below, NOT just your blog address. Include title of blog post and a short explanation of what your post is about. It doesn’t have to be a recent post, but it has to be a post that you’re proud to show off.
- Only 1 link per blogger.
- Please visit at least one participant’s link; don’t just leave yours and move on. This carnival is intended to foster a give-and-take relationship.
- If you wish to comment on a post, please visit the participant’s blog and comment there, not here.
- Shared blog posts must be decent. No overly offensive materials.
- Participants who violate any or all of the above rules will be deleted from this carnival.
This blog carnival will close on October 9 (Sunday). If you miss this carnival or have another blog post you want to share, feel free to participate on the next carnival which I will host again next month.
After this blog carnival ends, I will compile my favourite submissions into a “Best Posts Round-Up”. Check out last month’s→“Best Posts Round-Up of the 5th Fujinsei Blog Carnival”
Please note that I’m not making you feel obligated to subscribe to any of the participants’ blogs, although I’m sure that they’ll greatly appreciate it if you do. Feel free to subscribe only to those you liked. My main purpose for hosting this carnival is for us otaku bloggers to have the chance to connect with each other.
De wa, go forth and explore each other’s blogs to your hearts’ content. All otaku bloggers unite!

The Genre of Ironic Chemistry: Everyone Meets Everyone

It’s a fairly comprehensive breakdown of several different shows I’ve grouped under their own unique genre – what makes them appealing and where their similarities lie. Thank you as always for hosting Arria; glad I was able to wrap things up with this post in time haha.

Finally, a bit if inspiration hit me and I came up with something to write about.
In this post I make the case for watching things more than once rather than constantly chasing the newest shows.

This time I’m taking a look at the crazy world of poorly-implemented English lyrics in anime music with my top 10 favourite Engrish anime theme songs! I hope some of these give people a giggle or two!

I just started blogging about manga, so I haven’t done that many posts yet. But this sounded like fun, so I though that I also contribute something.
I recently read a manga called Hana To Hoshi and wrote a short review on it if anyone is interested in a short and sweet shoujo ai story:

Haven’t written anything recent as of yet. For now, this post should do:

I strongly recommend the post to those who are a fan of the Aria franchise, with the hopes that you’ll appreciate the anime more after understanding a bit of what comprises traditional japanese aesthetics.
As always, thanks for this event!

Am I an Anime Hipster?
http://wp.me/p1pmEE-oM
Something I asked myself a couple of years back, in an effort to define my stance towards the mainstream anime-viewing culture. More of a personal commentary than a general analysis, the post is a short introspective look at a (could be) anime hipster in myself — and in you, should you direct the question at yourself
Happy reading 😀

This is the lastest post I’ve made.
I think all of you love to have a chat with your beloved one. Not only girlfriend/boyfriend. Your family, childhood friends, or maybe your pet. I love to spend time till the sunset with my younger sister, talking about unimportant things in front of our home. 😀
I really miss that time, when I see this drawing. There’re Honebami and Namazuo Toushirou. (According to Touken Ranbu) they’re brother and have similiar sad past time. So they get close to each other. A perfect duo for the drawing.. 🙂

This was a really great idea to share posts among the community. I see a lot of interesting stuff here already.
I’m doing a challenge this year where I try, in a single year, to beat my lifetime record for anime series watched. Not only that, I’m doing an in-depth review of each series I finish too (more info on site).
With so many shows to choose from, I sometimes need help picking my next one. For that I rely on veteran anime fans like yourselves to help me decide, so please take a look and vote in my poll. The winner will be next on my queue and you’ll get a nice long review to look forward to once I complete it.

I hope I can help recommend some shoujo manga for people who want to try reading man-girl type of relationship for the first time, or to those who want to read more! 😀

This time around I’m offering up my post for Bi Visibility Day 2016. September 23rd marked the 18th BVD, and while my posting last year focused on Bisexual representation in my own work, this year I wanted to explore it in the animated medium. As such, I talk a little about how bisexual characters are presented in The Legend of Korra and Ghost in the Shell, struggle to think of a good male example, and give a little information about why I think the examples used are important. Enjoy!

Sorry, I messed up the link.
Here’s a post I made earlier this year: When Memory and Trust Fails You.
While it’s more recent, it represents why (in part) I started my blog. As a small resource for parents in regards to what might be questionable content in an anime that their child is watching. This is different for each person.
This is an example of a (mild) parenting fail.
There is a one or two curse words if that offends you.

“My First Anime Discussion Post: What if Final Fantasy was retold as Anime?”
Like the title says, this is my discussion post. In the post, I am asking people who likes Final Fantasy games if they would like to watch their favorite series in anime format. I also mention examples like Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV and Last Order: Final Fantasy VII. In other words, if you like Final Fantasy games and anime and you wish to your favorite game as an anime, feel free to share what series you choose.
This is an open discussion.

After over fourteen hours of thought and writing, I have finally brought together a cohesive piece about Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood that accurately summarizes the Elric’s attempts to raise their mother from the dead and analyzes Edward’s striving for God-like status by using the science of alchemy.
He learns a terrifying lesson through his suffering and is humbled before God, learning the truth behind all truths: “Humans who would dare to play God must pay a steep price for their arrogance. That is truth.”
Most importantly, the story of Edward’s struggles mirror those of people in our world and reveals a loving savior, Jesus Christ, who breaks our rebellious spirits through suffering to save us from sin.

Grimgar & Re:Zero | Genre’s Arbitrary Formulas And Narratives That Challenge Them
I don’t see myself as an anime reviewer kind of guy, since I like talking about shows from more broader subject points, without feeling the need to assign a final ‘rating’ or having final +/- thoughts about them immediately after watching them.
Here I present an analysis post, superficially comparing Grimgar and Re:Zero on their tonal differences and subjectual similarities.
