Goodbye 2016! Hello 2017!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, MY DEAR FOLKS!
Wohoo!!! I wish all of you a blessed year this 2017. May you and your family be safe and healthy. And of course, may you have the willpower to stick to your resolutions (I doubt it, though). Good luck!
New Year is always exciting for bloggers like myself because we treat it as an opportunity to try new things or just to try harder in order to become better bloggers than the year before. Many of us have blogging resolutions that we’re pumped to execute this new year. Whether we succeed or not in sticking to those resolutions is another matter, but that doesn’t decrease the excitement we feel for our self-imposed challenges.
I have a lot of blogging plans this 2017, but I’ll only share two with you today because I want the others to be surprises throughout the year. So here they are:
OWLS “Disruptors” Blog Tour
If you haven’t heard about this new super group of otaku bloggers with a cause yet, I recommend that you read more here.
Our first blog tour launches today. Our theme for this tour is “Disruptors”.
“To disrupt” has a negative denotation, but rather than looking at the verb in a negative light, we are going to use the verb in a positive way. It’s like the word, “protest” which has positive and negative connotations depending on the perspective of the person.
Disruptors: An individual or a group disturbing a system or social norms/conventions that they believe is destroying what is morally right.
– LynLyn (OWLS Chief Creative Officer)
During this tour, we will write about “Disruptors” using appropriate anime series as examples. Below is the schedule of our first OWLS blog tour.

I hope that you support us by reading what we wrote about this relevant topic, while at the same time discussing our passion for anime. Thank you very much!
New DGS Recaps & Selected Translations
To my fellow Dear Girls & Dear Boys, mosu!!! Gomen ne. I know how frustrated you felt at me for stopping all my DGS translations last year. I just had too many issues with my old translations, so I had to reconsider a new plan which will satisfy me not only as a translator but also as a DGS fan and a blogger. So here it is! Cry no more.
Tomorrow I’m launching my new and improved “DGS Recaps & Selected Translations”. Unlike my old DGS posts, they will explain entire episodes as opposed to parts that I only like. They will also provide background information and extra resource links about what they’re talking about in the episode. Most importantly, my crappy translations are now better and more accurate. What’s more, they will be posted regularly. Isn’t it exciting?
Please take note that these are “Recaps & Selected Translations”, and not “transcripts”. With full-blown transcripts, I run the risk of getting into copyright troubles. When that happens, well, you won’t get your DGS English translations from me anymore. And that would be very sad…even for me…because I’m having so much fun doing this.
Because I consider this a new feature, I will delete my old episode translations as my “Recaps & Selected Translations” posts are published. So please bear that in mind. You can find the new episode guide here.
I hope you enjoy my newly improved DGS posts, my fellow Dear Girls & Dear Boys. Episode 1 will be posted right here tomorrow. Mata ne. Mosu!
Before I go, I want to greet you once again a HAPPY & BLESSED NEW YEAR!!! Thank you very much for reading this post today. I appreciate it. Please join me again this year for another insanely fun-filled blogging journey. That’s all for today, folks. Cheers!
