5 Realistic and Must-See Naruto Battles That Never Happened

Hey, guys! My name is Brandon, and I am the founder and CEO of Anime Mode Universe, a new anime social media news network. More importantly, I am an anime blogger, and I have been given the great honor of dethroning Arria as the blogger here (kidding). Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did writing it.

The Naruto series has already gone down as one of the best anime series of all time. It is a household name in the anime industry, even to people who don’t watch anime regularly. Although Naruto is extensive with about 720 episodes, there are a lot of epic battles that just didn’t happen in this awesome series. Without further ado, here are the 5 hypothetical, must see Naruto battles.

1. Itachi Uchiha vs. Minato Namikaze

Itachi Uchiha, a double agent of the Hidden Leaf Village and a devout Uchiha clan member, is also the older brother of Sasuke Uchiha. He entered as a bit of a mystery. He easily defeated Kakashi, was steps ahead of Obito, and received praise from the Third Hokage for having a Hokage-level of thinking at a young age. However, Itachi was a pacifist, only fighting when he needed to and escaping when not.

Minato, a once in a generation prodigy and student of Jiraiya, hailed as the Fourth Hokage and also the fastest shinobi in history. This battle already sounds good, but for the most part, Minato will dominate the battle due to his Sage Mode capabilities, unique ninjutsu skills, extremely fast speed, and sharp wits.

However, Itachi is actually a genius when it comes down to intelligence, and he wields powerful forbidden Uchiha jutsu such as: Amaterasu, the Yata Mirror, and his deadly Tsukuyomi. Therefore, Minato could not really defeat Itachi, unless he succumbs to sickness during the battle.

2. Sasuke vs. Pain

The ultimate battle between the Rinnegan and Sharingan will be close, definitely close. While Pain has the advantage of his six paths and the Almighty Push, Sasuke has the Amaterasu and Susano under his full control. Besides, unlike Naruto, Sasuke is perceptive and knows his way in and out of a fight.

However, extended Sharingan use will affect Sasuke. Also, Pain is pretty much invincible unless you know his six path setup. Nonetheless, Sasuke should win…because he’s Sasuke.

3. Jiraiya vs. Orochimaru

Orochimaru is immortal. Let’s just get that out of the way. He possesses tons of jutsu, but he is super susceptible to genjutsu. Jiraiya, on the other hand, can use Sage Mode, and he does possess the Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant jutsu in his arsenal.

When it comes to ninjutsu, they are both on par with each other. Taijutsu falls with Orochimaru, unless Jiraiya unleashes Sage Mode. Genjutsu is also Jiraiya’s, but Orochimaru is, again, invincible. This should be a good fight to the death.

4. Might Guy vs Raikage (A)

This battle will be interesting because both of these guys are super fast, super strong, close range fighters. The Raikage, still, is one of the fastest shinobi in history, even matching Naruto’s speed in Kyuubi Mode. He also possesses a lightning armour and mega powerful attacks that could kill Guy instantly. Still, Guy has the Eight Inner Gates as a trump card, and he is a much skilled fighter than the Raikage.

Guy can pull it off without even going to the Eight Inner Gates, but the Raikage might kill him in the process. Though, A did save his brother from the clutches of Kisame quite easily. It took Guy forever to beat Kisame. Still, Guy nearly took out Madara with the Eight Inner Gates. He is no joke. That’s for sure.

5. Hashirama Senju (First Hokage) vs. Hiruzen Sarutobi (Third Hokage)

Anime pundits will already chalk this one up for the First Hokage, but the Third Hokage was called the God of Shinobi for a reason. People will note that the Third fought both the First and the Second and defeated them both, but Orochimaru used an incomplete Reanimation jutsu to revive those two, resulting in both of them not being to their full strength.

I mean, come on, the Third couldn’t beat both of them at his old age. While the First could win this battle easily with his Wood style, if Sarutobi was at his old age, Sarutobi would actually walk all over the First if they fought in each other’s primes. At the Third’s prime, he was unrivaled. He was even deemed the most powerful Kage during his lifetime. Also, Sarutobi was nicknamed the God of Shinobi in his prime. He and Hashirama are the only two to ever hold that title.

  1. I would love to see Sasuke vs Pain. Sasuke is very skilled in fighting multiple persons at once but Pain is good at locking in single- targets so it would be a very strategic fight.

  2. We actually should write the writers. Like, they robbed us of Orochimaru vs Jiraiya. Like seriously, the manga said they were very close at one point, and then all of the sudden, they don’t care about one another. They should’ve fought when Orochimaru killed the Third or maybe in Shippuden.

  3. Well, that was satisfying. With all the fighting in this world, where is the room for love? Okay, that was corny, but I want to see the fight between Gai and the Raikage; that would be interesting.

  4. Cool list! Of all these, the one I’d pay good money to see is Orochimaru vs Jiraiya. That gotta be visually impressive and emotionally charged.
