Dear Girl ~Stories~ aired its first episode back in April 2007. Wow, so long ago. It was the start of an amazing partnership between the awesome seiyuu combi Kamiya Hiroshi (神谷浩史) and Ono Daisuke (小野大輔). And the show is still going strong even now.

Speaking of DGS EXPO, what DGS fan haven’t heard of the infamous shower incident? It was so hilarious and ridiculous that I can’t help but snort in laughter. Whether it’s true or not doesn’t really matter to me. All that matters to me is that DGS remains as amazing as ever and that HiroC & OnoD are, as always, freaking awesome.

Now my fellow Dear Girls (& Dear Boys), don’t forget to grab your very own copy of the DVD, ok? Let’s join our hearts together and congratulate DGS.

Happy 10th Anniversary to everyone at Dear Girl ~Stories~!!!

Dear Girl ~Stories~の皆さん、10周年おめでとうございま~す!!!

This is such a happy occasion that my eyes are literally tearing up. I’m not joking. Anyway, please continue supporting our favourite Japanese radio show. As always, you can find my English recaps & selected translations of DGS episodes right here on Fujinsei.

That’s all for today, folks! Have a lovely day. Mosu!

  1. I’ve looked everywhere for this DVD EXCEPT on cdjapan, since I don’t have a credit card (and my japanese co-worker can only order it on amazon) there was just nowhere else I could find it.
I’ve decided to order this DVD at least through a store in Switzerland (it’s more expensive like this, but I have enough money and it’s worth it, I guess)
At least I can order their MOB DVD in Kobe world hall through amazon.
So now, I ordered three DVDs: MOB in Kobe, DGS Expo and Wagakki Band’s US Live Tour DVD.
Oh well, I don’t indulge myself usually, so sometimes is good:) We want to enjoy life after all!

    1. Oh my gosh. Long time no talk! Hi! I’m so glad to see (read) you again. Ehehehe. Well, I’m an affiliate for CDJapan and most of the products I feature here are found there. Oh wow. You ordered a lot. By the way, do you mean you ordered these from Amazon or bought them from an actual store there in Switzerland?

      1. DGS Expo I ordered from a store in Switzerland (an Anime/Manga store)
The other two through amazon – my japanese coworker ordered them for me.
I just watched Expo 2016 by the way. It’s really funny and sweet. It’s sweet at the last part, when Ono Daisuke told the audience that he loves their smile and that he wants to make them laugh. But first of all he has to make “this ojii-san” smile, since his smiles makes everyone else smile too.

      2. Oh! That’s so nice! How’s the price when you buy it from an actual store there compared to when you buy it online? Is there a big difference in price or is it okay?
Aaaaw. OnoD is always so cute, funny, and sweet. I love them both!

      3. I think the price is much higher because of the delivery charges… If I can avoid it, I won’t order anything from a store anymore.
OnoD is such a cutie. And I loved Kamiya’s smile when Ono Daisuke said that. He looked so flattered.

      4. I figured as much. There are lots of places here in my area too where I can buy Japanese media merchandise like these, but the prices are insane. Luck actually counts when finding cheaper prices at actual stores in our area.
Ehehehe. They’re so sweet. HiroC is such a tsundere.

      5. Yes, and I’ve heard that cdjapan is pretty expensive compared to other websites and the opinions vary extremely (some really dislike their services, some like them)
Kamiya Hiroshi is really such a tsundere. You can see how much he cares for his friends! He should really be more proud of himself. His low self-worth is sad – a person with so many close friendships (at least from what I can see) must be a great person. I think many people in the industry would do everything for him.

      6. Indeed, it is more expensive. I’m not sure why. However, I don’t think they’re all that bad. Perhaps it depends on the experience? Play-Asia is another option, and of course, there is always Amazon. Although no pre-orders there with the kind of products fans like us look for.
Oh my gosh. I know, right? He’s adorable. I think that he’s just saying that because he’s such a grounded person. The secret to a long career. They’re so awesome. A lot of people in the industry look up to him.

      7. My japanese co-worker brought the other DVDs (MOB concert in Kobe) 🙂 Do you have this DVD? Couldn’t watch everything yet, but I just wanted to share a… rather pervert/seductive pic of Kamiya lol : http://imgur.com/vL1fEp8
I’m sorry, I just had to do that. I don’t think Kamiya would’ve done that when he was younger! laughs He waggled his tongue around the chocolate a few times! Their song “Otoko Rhapsody” was very funny too. They had to say what rock is for them. And while OnoD managed to keep a straight face (not always though) and all other members always (!) had a serious face, HiroC constantly had a laughing fit! When OnoD heard HiroC laughing especially loud and even during the singing, even he had to grin once! They’re such dorks.
My japanese co-worker doesn’t seem to like dorks as she says, but I hope she finds them as funny/entertaining as us. I lent her the DGS Expo DVD.

      8. No, I don’t have that show! I’m crying. T__T
And oh my gosh, that photo. Ehehe. /squeals/ Looks awesome. I want! I’ll go look for a copy. It’s kind of hard getting copies of these live events, as they’re mostly sold out when I check them. Sigh.
They’re such dorks, but so adorable. I just marathoned “Natsume Yuujinchou Roku” last night, and I was squealing like a madwoman during episode 8 when OnoD played Aoi. When the ep ended, I restarted and watched it again. Ahaha! Perhaps we’ll get a new fan out of your co-worker. I find that very few can resist HiroC and OnoD. 😉

      9. It definitely IS hard… I was lucky to find a copy in amazon.co.jp…
Oh, you watched it! Don’t know if you watched it completely, but the ending is awesome. Very good animation and great job from Kamiya and Ishida… I really like Ishida! And since I commented on the Yaoi topic: I’ll be honest… I ship Matoba with Natori……. I’m horrible. But these two guys are just calling for it! Especially after the two special chapters (one got animated already in Natsume Yuujinchou Go)

      10. I knooooow~ /whines/ I just want to kick myself whenever I check for the latest DGS releases and they’re already sold out. T___T But it’s okay. At least I’m still having fun with the DGS radio show. Still, though.

And totally! As for me, I ship Natsume and Matoba more. Next would be Matoba and Natori…and then Natori and Matoba. Natori in Roku was hilarious with all those flowers sparkling behind him in the background. XD
Oh! I watched and read those special background stories. So cute!

      11. http://mabotofuu.tumblr.com is currently also translating the radio show – mostly the newer ones though:) That’s good, you’re translating the older ones after all! 🙂 Yeah, we can still have fun with the radio show after all! Let’s stay positive.

Oh, I can’t ship Natsume to be honest. Probably because he’s underage! And especially the nice, good Natsume with Matoba… No, he’ll be corrupted! I probably ship Matoba only with Natori because… Natori is already corrupted. I think Matoba is at fault mostly lol Natori used to be a sweet kid (and teenager more or less) after all

      12. Yes, there are others translating the show which is awesome. I want to begin at the beginning and make it as comprehensive as possible. Before, I did the parts that I only liked, but now I want to do full recaps as well. Indeed, let’s stay positive. I just hope that once these live events are sold out, they restock them but no, they don’t really do that. Sigh.

Ahaha! I like Matoba. He’s eviiiil, but also darkly sexy. But I only ship them in my mind. I like that Natsume is not a yaoi series and focuses more on the story. Ehehe. Natori has his dark side, indeed. The chapters showing their childhood are so adorable!
